Read MoreCoconut ~ Brown Sugar Banana Bread
My family is really big on banana bread, probably because my husband and kids are not fans of ripe bananas :) I’ve made a lot of these breads over the years, experimenting with different combinations and this recipe is one of our favorites! Typically in the past, I’ve made banana bread with baking soda, then discovered the light, almost cakey texture that baking powder gives, so this recipe is entirely new. The coconut mixed in and sprinkled on top along with a pinch or two of brown sugar gives it a lovely, golden crust that’s full of flavor and texture. Recipe: 1 stick...
Read Morea Wedded to War inspired Giveaway!
It is my absolute pleasure to get to share with you about my good friend, Jocelyn Green and her FANTASTIC Civil War series, Heroines Behind the Lines. I recently read the first book in her series, Wedded to War and absolutely loved it. Rarely am I swept away in a novel as I was by Wedded to War. I was dumbstruck. I had no idea my publisher had even entered my book. When I got the news, I started shaking so much so, that I could scarcely...

Last night, I turned in my edits! Wahoo! It took me about 6 weeks to rewrite the third book in the Cadence of Grace series, but boy oh boy…being on the other side of all that hard work, makes me so excited and thankful for what the story has become. I could have never done it on my own and each time I work on revisions, I’m reminded once again how wonderful my editors are. I spent the last few days reading the story on an iPad while making changes on my laptop which is a great way to see the story as a “reader” instead of a “writer.” It really helps me...
