It’s my joy to spotlight folk music now and again for two reasons.
1. I LOVE folk music. It’s pretty much my favorite genre outside of worship music. And there are some really awesome artists and songs out there…so this is me sharin’ the love :]
2. Folk and bluegrass music really tie into my stories. It’s a common thread in most everything I write. And while it’s ever evolving, this song is one that is currently at the top of my writing mix.
The song for this spotlight is “Flood Waters” by Josh Garrels. Josh is an incredible musician and a believer and the amazing thing, is when he puts out an album, like “Love and War and the Sea In Between”, he shares it for free for the first year. Just as a way to give back. That’s how I discovered his music and I hope you enjoy it too! Check out his website, watch some awesome videos and enjoy incredible, God-honoring music. So without further adieu…
If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you.
What do you look for
in a good book? If it’s characters you feel you’ve known forever, a setting you can reach out and touch, and a story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go until the end, then we’re on our way to being kindred spirits! And I hope to find myself a little changed by the end. How about you?
