How Can I Pray For You?

I’m tiptoeing quietly in from my blogging break with a question for you, sweet friends. And it’s this…

How can I pray for you this week?

For the month of April, I’d like to pray for you each week and if you have anything on your mind or heart, please feel free to share here and I’ll be adding it to my prayer list. If you’d rather email it to me, you can do that directly on my contact page. Thank you for being here and I’ll be praying especially for all of you to have an encouraging week. Hugs!

  1. Please pray for me that my light really shines for my Lord.

    • Chris, one thing besides prayer that I’ve found to help my light shine for God is to turn to Him in every situation (good or bad). The more I focus on Him in prayer and Bible reading, the more He shines through me. I hope you also find this true for you. I pray our Lord shines through the talents and gifts He’s given you.

    • I surely will, Chris!

  2. Joanne! Welcome back. I missed you. :) Did you enjoy your break from blogging?

Thanks for your sweet offer to pray for us, your readers and friends. My prayer request is that God help me carve out more time for my writing. I want to be more dedicated to it, but my day-job of tutoring has been so crazy-busy that any down time I have is spent regaining energy to go at it again the next day. God is helping me figure it out, I can feel it. The thing is, I hope and pray I stick to it and continue to make the time to write and edit and revise. This is a dream I feel like God wants me to pursue. Something that He may turn into a career, a way to support the family He will someday bless me with. It’s something I can do from home, which is ideal as I want to be a stay-at-home mom (when that beloved day arrives somewhere down the line).

Joanne, thank you so much for your prayers. How may I pray for you this week?

    • Thank you, Andrea! It’s good to be back. I missed you too. It’s been quite but also a good rest. I will be praying for your writing time this week. I know that can be so hard. So strong is the call to write, but it’s also hard to settle down and carve out the time. And as far being a SAHM…writing really is a joy to be able to do because we can make our own hours, and also have lots of time available for the kids. I will be praying for you!

And thank you! I could use prayer for continued strength with the writing journey and I’m about to dive back into one of my manuscripts for revisions and prayer for God to help weed out anything that is unneeded and to help me put in what IS, would be such a blessing <3 Hugs!

      • Made some notes of what to pray for and will keep that with my journal. So glad to be able to pray for you, Joanne, along with your other readers.

      • Thank you!!

  3. I would like for you to pray for the continued miracle that is my sister Shae. She has gained so much ground since the brain bleed. I can’t give God enough praise for sparing her life. You and Amanda have just been such a positive influence on my daily walk, in truly resting in the Lord and just having that “blind faith”. I am a woman of faith, but sharing with others, reading what others share about their life through Christ is amazing. It has allowed me to become stronger in some areas of weakness.

For me, pray that I am a testimony to the love and understanding of our Father, and that I am able to share Jesus by being more like him every day.

    • Good morning Melody,

I have added your prayer requests to my list and will begin praying for them. What an amazing story of how God has been at work in your sister’s life. It’s so neat to hear how your faith has been growing and I’m so thankful (as you are!) for Amanda as well! She’s been such an encouragement to me as have YOU. Hugs to you and your sister!

    • Melody, you are such a light for Him, and I’m encouraged by you so very often!! Like Joanne, I’m thankful for you (and for her!). I’m so glad to hear Shae continues to grow stronger; truly such a beautiful miracle!!

  4. I have missed you so… popping in for a cup of tea and some sharing.
The children and I could use your prayers. Mark left us and was being verbally and emotionally abusive. Prayers for my van to be fixed would be great. It needs so much. But we so need it for Church, Dr, Dentist ect and to get to store and to the park to play and swim this summer.
Ok so I tried Speedbo, got 10k words down ! Its about my teen pregnancy 31 years ago. Standing in the need of prayers and hugs.

    Love you

    Be Blessed my sister !

    • Linda Marie, my prayers are with you. Stay strong and trust God. He’s got a plan for you in all of this. I’m so thankful Joanne asked for prayer requests today. The conversations happening here today are so eye-opening and healing. Glad to be a part of it by lifting everyone up to God. He’s got us covered and will lift us up.

      • Thank you Andrea. I am aiming to stay strong in the Lord. We all have our trials to bare and we all are walking different walks.

        • Linda, we surely are. Cool thing is, though, that we’ve got brothers and sisters in Christ to help pray us through it. Hugs!

  5. You have such a beautiful heart, my friend! Thank you for the gift of your prayers. <3 Hugs to you!

  6. What a LOVELY idea. I’d appreciate prayer for my August release–that my novel will reach the right folks with the right message. Now, how can I pray for YOU?!?

    • Thank you so much, Sarah. I WILL be praying for your upcoming release. It’s such a special and busy time for sure AND I will be praying for it’s message to touch those hearts God has in store.

For me? Prayer would be so welcome for my writing and the journey that is publishing. It’s had it’s ups and downs lately and God has been so graciously growing my faith and trust in Him.

  7. PLEASE pray for my dad….just lost my mom and we are trying to help him but need to return to our home….i have been very sick the last couple days and think it is anxiety ….PLEASE PRAY for my family salvation ….. BLESSED YOU ARE BACK !!! Gods Peace

    • Hi Karen
